Meet the Team

    Lindsay Schack

    Lindsay established her career as an Architect and an educator by combining her knowledge of architectural technology with her background in psychology and research. In addition to private practice, Lindsay has instructed at Montana State University's School of Architecture in design studio and research seminars and delivered lectures on sustainability at the Universidad Latina in Costa Rica. An intuitive designer and communicator, she creates solutions that relate a client's needs to the context of the project to arrive at healthy, sustainable space. Lindsay is a Certified Consultant for the Passive House Institute-US, certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, a LEED-Accredited Professional and a member of the American Institute of Architects. She holds architectural licenses in Montana, Idaho and Wyoming.

    When not at her desk, Lindsay pursues a mountain lifestyle with her husband, two children, and two dogs.

    Andrea Michael

    Andrea spent the first five years of her architectural career working in the public sector and the second five focused on residential interiors. She then joined the Love Schack team in early 2016. Andrea is passionate about building science and improving our existing building stock to be more efficient, resilient and functional. She’s has completed an energy retrofit at her own home which served as a valuable learning tool and continues to provide insights into living a lower impact lifestyle. Outside of work Andrea is a mother of two and enjoys reading, being in nature, doing yoga, cooking and creating.

    Kluane Gorsuch

    Kluane is enthralled by the positive impact architectural design can have on individuals, families, and society at large. She believes that every project should both reflect and enhance the lives of its inhabitants. Kluane finds value in designs that are inspired, yet down-to-earth. Speaking of earth, Kluane is also an advocate for natural building materials’ ability to make a big impact on inhabitants’ lives, in balance with making minimal impact on the environment.

    Paula Alexander

    Paula acts as Director of Operations/Business Manager at the Bozeman office. She has a background in real estate, event management, and loves being part of all aspects of running the business, especially working with clients and being part of a team. Paula loves all things design related, with a background in art, and a secret passion for interior design. Outside of work, Paula is a creator of art, an avid cook, loves to grow flowers and herbs, take long walks and hikes with her pup Clementine, travel & explore.

    Eli Ayres

    Originally from the hills of Western Massachusetts, Eli developed a passion for architecture at an early age as his family renovated old houses across New England. Following graduation from the architecture program at University of Massachusetts – Amherst, Eli has worked at many scales, from urban infill in Austin, TX to luxury residential in Jackson, WY. Eli joined LSA in 2023, bringing a strong commitment to honest design and high-performance building. While pursuing licensure, Eli enjoys practicing within the rigorous context of snow country and learning from simple mountain vernacular forms. Outside of the office, Eli can be found in the mountains, skiing, biking, climbing, and enjoying the striking beauty of the Northern Rockies.

    Gus

    Gus is the Love Schack Architecture office dog in the Bozeman office. He is a two year old Australian Cattle Dog living his best life in Montana. Gus has lots of energy but takes some time to get to know you. If you stop by the office, Gus might greet you at the front door.

Our team loves where we live, and it shows. When we’re not collaborating in the office, you might find us out on the trails, hitting the slopes, or enjoying the beauty of the region we’re stoked to call home.

Alumni Spotlight

Lindsey Love is Co-Founder and Alumni of Love Schack Architecture. Lindsey has a second education in on-the-ground building experience. She has a deep understanding of the science behind successful natural materials, and specializes in determining when, where, and how these materials can be the most appropriate and beautiful solution. Lindsey continues to be a frequent collaborator in her new venture with Regenerative Building Solutions.
